crimson sky.the subtle rain fell from the branches above, every movement rehearsed until it bore no resemblance to her body at all. the clouds moved through the sky deftly, not granting them even one moment of moonlight. beneath the protection of a mature oak, they looked at one and other with wide eyes. his reading her body, studying her eyes. practicing every line he’d memorized wordlessly, trying not to stumble as she looked away. she tried to look at him as prey, circling in the sky around him swooping down with a victorious cry. but all he saw in her face was fear. &ncrimson sky.
